Sedation Dentistry

For patients who’ve been putting it off — calm, monitored, and you don’t drive home.

What it includes

Oral conscious sedation: a prescription pill taken before your appointment that keeps you awake but deeply relaxed. Combined with local anesthetic, most patients remember very little.

Why we do it this way

A lot of dental anxiety is real, learned, and not your fault. Sedation makes the work doable for patients who would otherwise just live with the problem until it gets worse.

Common questions

About sedation dentistry.

Will I be unconscious?

+

No. Oral conscious sedation keeps you awake and able to respond — but very relaxed. Deep sedation and general anesthesia are referred out.

Do I need someone to drive me?

+

Yes. You can’t drive yourself home after oral sedation, and we won’t let you try.

Can I have sedation for a regular cleaning?

+

Yes. If anxiety is keeping you out of the chair, sedation for a cleaning is a perfectly reasonable starting point.

Ready when you are.
